Because this photoeye does not have a built-in timed relay, it needs to paired with a “nucleus” device that has a built in timed relay. The “Safety Egg” can also be used with the automatic door opener to add an additional level of safety to prevent accidental door closures on people passing through the door. The “Safety Egg” photoeye emits a invisible beam of light, that when disturbed will trigger a relay. This signal will travel to the “nucleus” which will then unlock the door.
